I was given the urge to take "soft water" pictures. Impossible with the Sony but not with Amanda`s nice Nikon and a tripod. Here it begins, the purchase of camera kit.
To soften the water, a tripod, dark filter and a waterfall were required. High Force for the waterfall, an old polarizing filter found in my very old camera bag and a swift visit too Jessops for the tripod.
After the usual, "HOW MUCH?" in Jessops at the price of a tripod and a swift purchase of a memory card for Amanda`s camera, we were off.
Long exposure pictures of water falls, the rule to remember is....
Low f number = more light (f4)
High f number = less light (f22)
Now, pop the camera on the tripod, pop the filter on the camera lens to darken the shot.. and slow down your shutter speed.
Experiment with the shutter speed till your happy with the effect.
